pronouns: they/she/it
words to describe your gender identity: I am within the nonbinary umbrella and would describe myself as such. I like to say I'm creature-identified and a pile of gender buffoonery. Gender is a game and I play chaotic neutral. Gender is an outfit that I slip on and take off at will. I call myself a shapeshifter (it's really no surprise I ended up in this art form) because that's how I feel about my gender identity and physical self-expression. I feel most drawn to the words nonbinary and a-gender when describing myself in well known gender terms. When I was younger, I had a fixation with the Succubus (who didn't?). In questioning my sexuality many years ago I thought this was an early sign of Gay™️ (which it was). However, actually one of my first major gender revelations was realizing my fixation was not with a "woman" but truly with a creature, who donned the imagery of what I would describe as 'dark high femme' at will -- but this creature was never beholden to this form or the identity of what it means to be a femme in society. Now, I express myself in all gradients freely-- in dark high femme, masc, masc-femme, femme-masc, fantastical creature from a another land, grotesque hot demon (why not) -- and I am happy to feel actualized in my shapeshifter abilities and freedom of expression!
words to describe your sexuality/romantic identity: I identify most with pansexual but feel bisexual also describes me sufficiently.

favorite warm-up song: Constantly shifting! If I come in with high energy, I love to immediately shake it out and jump around, if I come in with lower energy I tend to make things more gooey and slow, feeling out every movement. A go-to is my playlist of various songs I want to perform to someday, and visualizing each song as it comes on is a great way I set my creative mindset for a training session.
favorite words to describe yourself/your stage persona?: High-energy, playful, provocative, absurd.
what does burlesque/erotic movement mean to you?: Performing burlesque has developed for me over time, and has become a lot more than what I felt when I first started-- at that time, it was a space for me to express myself in new way, to explore new movement, to be free in a different and new sense. Now, I think because I have spent time performing, I am connecting more to being interactive while performing and sharing this experience and moment with the audience. The energy that is created in the live space of burlesque is incredible and something I treasure and hope to continue to cultivate in the future!
what attracted you to being a part of our Troupe?: I was initially drawn to apply to perform with EQB because I saw an opportunity to push myself past my comfort zone into a new space working with people who share a lot in common with myself -- (our mission statement is the first example of that!) An intentionally queer space to express through burlesque is so special. 🌟 During the process of preparing for and performing in the It's Fucking Hot! show in 2023, which was the first show I performed with EQB, I felt so thrilled to have the opportunity -- to try something new (that was my first chair and drag routine!), to feel the faith in me from the EQB team to share their stage and be supported in that growth, and then to be able to meet everyone in the Troupe and work with them and discover how wonderful they all are!! Every opportunity to continue to be involved and create with EQB is held close to heart. 💖
