what does burlesque/erotic movement mean to you?: Performing in burlesque means to me that I have a sense of control over my body and what I want to do with it. It allows me to take back the power of my sensuality in a safe space. Dancing allows me to feel “seen” and has been a space for me to transform my old shame into personal power and a renewed connection with my body.

what attracted you to being a part of our Troupe?: What led me to applying to EQB was that during my first intro to dance class, Rebel & Juul were there and I remember watching my peers dance and thinking to myself, “Wow. I want to move like that. I want to FEEL that (embodiment).” It was after that class when I learned about EQB and thought to myself how cool… I wanna do that too. I’ve always wanted to dance and to perform and even to dance with others. Be “a part” of something. To create, even if it’s just memories. I’m enjoying the exploration and “play”.
