what does burlesque/erotic movement mean to you?: Burlesque is a form a rebellion as well as an art form for me. Since getting into burlesque I've started to shut down the negative thoughts about my body and even celebrate it. Especially since becoming a mom and getting the saggy boobs and stretch marks, doing burlesque reminds me that my body is still worth being celebrated. I want others who see me perform to feel that way about their bodies as well. The rebellion part is just that it's a big fuck you to being raised with that mentality that being plus-sized makes me worth less. It's fighting against the idea that I need to stifle my sexuality. It's fighting against the fact that because I'm a business executive, I need to be a certain way.

what attracted you to being a part of our Troupe?: I really enjoyed performing my solo act at the It's Fucking Hot! show. I loved how organized the show was produced. I also just enjoy and adore every Troupe member I've ever interacted with. Being a part of the Troupe would give me a sense of belonging. It also holds me accountable to keep performing burlesque when I'm too exhausted and want to give up.
