what does burlesque/erotic movement mean to you?: To me, burlesque means being open and vulnerable with others. It’s expressing yourself through your body and movement and fashion. There's such a unique trade-off when it comes to performing that gives me such a rush. The first time I saw a burlesque show, I immediately fell in love with the performance aspect, the outfits, the way each performer showed off their own sense of style and personality. I remember telling myself that one day I would do the same thing.

what attracted you to being a part of our Troupe?: Once I became aware of the ErotiQueer BurlesQue Troupe, I almost immediately wanted to be a part of something so inclusive and inspiring. As a bisexual Latina, it's hard to find people who look like me in dance, especially burlesque. I want to be a part of this Troupe because I want to inspire others while having fun and making friends. I love supporting the arts in Austin and increasing awareness of burlesque among the communities that may not have interacted with burlesque otherwise.
